During the winter of 2021/2022, I had the opportunity to test the new Kodak Gold 200 in 120 format. Kodak Professional provided me with multiple rolls to experiment with before the official announcement and release of the film. It was a great privilege, and I appreciate the opportunity to photograph Yosemite Valley in picturesque winter weather. Here are a few of my favorite photographs. Thank you, Kodak!
After testing out the film, I've got to say, I was seriously impressed with its dynamic range, the subtlety of the grain, and the vibrancy of the colors it produced. Yosemite Valley had just been blanketed with a heavy snowfall, and with clear skies predicted for the following day, I knew it was the ideal moment to see what Kodak Gold 120 could really do.
So I visited a few of my favorite locations, looking to capture a mix of different scenes. Kodak Gold 120 might not cost as much as other film stocks like Portra or Ektar, but trust me, it doesn't come short in regards to quality.
